Lennox rooftop units, split systems and heaters REE replaces and services
Lennox sells a full commercial range: several rooftop unit families, large and small split systems, unit heaters and ductless systems. REE works on all of them on the commercial sites we serve.
Lennox's rooftop units page lists the Model L, Enlight, Xion, Raider and Strategos rooftop families, in gas/electric, electric/electric, heat pump and dual-fuel configurations depending on the family. Its split systems page lists Elite large split air conditioners, heat pumps and air handlers, Merit small splits, and furnaces and indoor coils. Lennox also lists commercial unit heaters, and its commercial page lists Varix VRF and mini-split systems built with Samsung ductless technology.
For how packaged and split equipment differ in a commercial building, see packaged vs split systems in commercial buildings.
Lennox unit heaters in stockrooms and at loading docks
Lennox sells commercial unit heaters alongside its rooftop and split lines. In stockrooms and at loading docks they heat space the rooftop units do not reach, so REE services them on the same program.
Lennox's unit heaters page lists standard and separated-combustion commercial unit heaters. In a store they usually hang in the receiving area or warehouse, out of sight until the first cold morning. REE installs and replaces warehouse and loading dock unit heaters and air curtains, and repairs them through our unit heater and air curtain repair service. Checking them on a fall maintenance visit puts them on the plan instead of on the emergency list.
Replacing a Lennox rooftop unit across a store portfolio
A Lennox rooftop replacement is planned store by store around the curb, crane, permit and trading calendar. Where a site is considering a heat pump or dual-fuel unit, the electrical and gas checks come first.
Lennox lists heat pump and dual-fuel configurations on its rooftop units page. Moving a store from a gas/electric unit to a heat pump changes more than the cabinet: the electrical service, the gas line, the curb and local code all get checked before the change is priced. If the store stays gas/electric, the survey still confirms curb fit and controls, because a new unit rarely matches the old footprint.
Kelly Purcell, our Installation Director, runs permitting city by city across the six counties, and our own installation crew sets the unit. Large rollouts are phased so stores keep trading. See our rooftop unit installation and replacement page for the full sequence, and repair or replace a rooftop unit for the decision that comes first.
Maintenance and Standard 180 inspections on Lennox equipment
REE maintains Lennox rooftop units, split systems and unit heaters under one scheduled program that follows ANSI/ASHRAE/ACCA Standard 180, so heating equipment is checked before it is needed.
Visits cover coils, belts, filters, drains, economizers and controls on rooftop and split equipment, and heating checks on unit heaters ahead of the heating season. REE's own figure is that about 80% of the service calls we receive could have been avoided with proper maintenance. Programs run through our HVAC maintenance and inspections pillar and are documented to the ASHRAE 180 inspection and testing standard. When a unit fails between visits, 24/7 emergency service covers it.
