Accessibility statement

Summary in plain language

R E E Mechanical, Inc. wants this website to work for everyone who needs to reach us, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. We build and test to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, review the site every quarter, and fix reported barriers. If something does not work for you, tell us and we will help you directly.

Our conformance target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA

We design, build, and test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the standard generally used to measure website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Conformance is a target we work toward continuously, not a third-party certification. Where a page falls short, we treat it as a defect to fix.

What this site does

  • A skip link to the main content is the first focusable element on every page.
  • Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline that does not rely on color alone.
  • Text and controls target AA contrast. Our brand yellow is used for large display type, rules, and fills on dark surfaces, never for small text on a light background.
  • Headings are nested in order, landmarks mark navigation and main content, images have text alternatives, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked in text, and errors are described in words, not by color alone.
  • Motion is short and is turned off when your device requests reduced motion.
  • The homepage background video is muted, has a pause button, and does not play when your device requests reduced motion.
  • FAQ answers are in the page markup, not hidden behind script.

Known limitations

  • Embedded map. The Google map on the contact page is a third-party component we do not control. Our full address, 42245 Remington Ave B10, Temecula, CA 92590, and a directions link are given next to it in plain text.
  • Spam protection. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which runs in the background. If it ever asks for a visual challenge you cannot complete, call or email us instead and we will take your request directly.
  • Third-party content. Embedded video, social media links, and other third-party pages follow their providers' accessibility practices, not ours.
  • Older documents. Some downloadable documents may not be fully accessible. We will provide any of them in an accessible format on request.

How we keep it accessible

We review the site every quarter with automated testing and manual checks, including keyboard-only navigation and screen-reader spot checks, and we re-check pages whenever they change. Barriers that are reported to us are prioritized in the next update.
