PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE DOESN'T COST...IT PAYS

R.E.E. Air Cnditioning

There are two coils in your air conditioning unit. The evaporator coil provides the cool air that you feel, and the condenser coil removes the warm air and transfers it outside. Both are vital to your system and subject to the dust, dirt and pollen in the air that is pushed through them. The blockage of these coils will cause a definite increase in energy consumption and can also lead to major problems with the units compressors due to over exertion. A properly maintained unit and yearly chemical cleanings, as recommended by the manufacturer, will keep your equipment working at it’s full potential.

Loose or cracked belts in your units motor cause a reduction in air flow, which in turn makes your unit work harder then it should. A worn belt can also cause grooves in the motors pulleys creating  the need for the replacement of those as well.

When air filters are not replaced regularly they can become clogged with dust, dirt, pollen and any other particulates in the air. That’s their job, but they can only do it for so long before they are completely covered. This causes a restriction of air flow making it hard to feel the cooling or heating your unit is providing.

FAQ’s

Your heating and cooling units are probably the most costly use of energy for your business . Keeping them running at their highest efficiency is imperative to reducing annual costs, and avoiding costly service or replacement in the future. A Preventative Maintenance Contract will insure that your units are working at their full potential and also give prior notice to minor services needed, before they turn into major problems. Did you know that according to the Consortium of Energy Efficiency, proper  maintenance can reduce energy costs by up to 50% ? And the average business in Southern California pays .47 cents per sq ft in heating and cooling costs a year? That comes out to a .24 cent per sq ft savings a year, not to mention the additional years of service that a properly maintained system can provide.

A refrigerant leak not only effects your operating costs but also effects the environment. E.P.A. regulations now hold owners responsible for refrigerant being released into the atmosphere from air conditioning units. Scheduled maintenance will make sure that your unit is fully charged and catch any leaks before they become a hazard to the environment and your pocketbook.
